Choose Your Own Adventure Story

Choose Your Own Adventure

In Ivan and I’s story Fat Joe has to get Shaquisha back from Big Papa and his crew. He eventually gets her back and they live happily ever after. I think out story turned out really well. We put pictures to give people a picture of what’s happening and what the character looks like. I liked our pictures we had in the story.

Interview Essay

Aydan

My interview essay

The person I interviewed was my sister Kyra Jane Brown. I asked her about 6 questions a seventeen year old could answer.

The first question I asked her was what was the hardest thing to go through in her life. She responded by saying her father’s death. I know that it was really hard for her to go through and I still see her upset about it today when it’s his birthday. He was working at a construction site and something went wrong. She was nine years old when he passed away.

The second question i asked her was what is the difference between high school and elementary. She told me elementary was fun and you didn’t have that much homework and high school you have a lot of homework and is boring.

I asked her what she wants to do when she graduates. She told me she wants to get a degree in architecture and move to colorado. She goes to school at St. Mary’s high school.

My sister doesn’t really inspire me but she is pretty cool. I hope she achieves her dreams and never gives up.

Travel Report

China
By: Aydan

Are you looking for a good place to visit? I have never been to China but if you decide to go, there will be a vast variety of foods, activities, sights to see, and culture to take part in.

Rice and wheat is always used in China. They use rice in some of their meals and use wheat to make foods for dumplings and noodles. Pork and poultry are the most favored meat there. They don’t just have homemade food, they also have fast food restaurants like McDonalds. Tea is the traditional favorite beverage there, but beer and soft drinks have become popular drinks there too.

Religion there is tolerated but restricted by the communist government of China. Confucianism and Buddhism are major religion in China. Buddhism is the most know religion in China.

Everyday life in China is just like ours. They watch television, listen to the radio, read, go to the movies or opera, and shop just like we do. In China badminton, basketball, soccer and table tennis are the favorite sports. Most Chinese wear clothing similar to that of Europeans and North Americans. In urban ares, fashionable designates are popular, especially among younger people. People in certain religious and ethnic groups may wear special costumes and headgear.

So if you are looking for a good place to visit, you should seriously consider visiting China for a variety of things to eat and do. I bet if you go there you will find more information about it than I do.

College Essay

College Essay
By: Aydan

I was told that college is probably the most important thing I can go to in my life. It gives you opportunities you have never had before. Hopefully it will give me everything I need to know about what I want to do when I’m finished going to college.

I have two main goals that I want to achieve by going to college. I want to get my bachelor’s degree so I can go to law school and after that become a lawyer. If that doesn't go as planned, I want to be a college basketball player for the Nebraska Huskers. If I do good on a college team hopefully I can go to the NBA and play for a famous basketball team.

College will help me so much with becoming a lawyer. You always have to study the law and what to do in the court room. I will learn things about law and being a lawyer that I never knew before. It’s a great way to learn about the law and how it works in our society. I want to become a Civil Rights Lawyer. I would like this profession because I can help people that don’t get the rights they have. I really like helping people that are not being treated equally with everyone else. My other goal was being a basketball player for the Nebraska Huskers. My college could help me learn how to do different plays on the court and give me more discipline. It could always make me a better basketball player too and work better with people.

Overall I think my main goal is to become a lawyer. I never really thought I would want to be one but something hit me about helping people and it made me want to become one. It seems like a lot of work to become one so I think that would push my limits all the way if I could be one. It is a very good paying job. I want someone to look up to me someday and want to do the same thing I want to do now.

Nebraska Football

Nebraska Football

I see green grass and players in uniforms
The smell of meat cooking and popcorn
The sound of fans and pads popping
I can taste the popcorn and pop
I can feel the breeze going through my hands
This is Nebraska Football

Extended Metaphor Poem

Life is a enemy

It may knock you down
You are always trying to get through it

You never know what’s going to happen with it

Rhyming Poem

Basketball

Once I get on the court
I can not wait for the sport
The feeling that I get
I have to make it in the net
Once I made the shot

Adrenaline is what I got
